This is Coach Chris' 25th year as head coach of the Sailfish.  Chris previously coached at the Beavercreek YMCA from 2003 to 2013.  He is the lead coach for the Coffman YMCA swim team at the Xenia YMCA training site.  He coached for Coffman from 2013 to 2020.  He recently returned to Coffman in 2023.   Chris was also the Head Coach for Beavercreek High School swim team from 2017 to 2023.  BHS Boys won State in 2022 during this stint.  Beavercreek was the first "Public School" to win State since 1987.

This is Chris' 32nd year coaching competitive swimming.  He has coached in the Cleveland and Greater Dayton area since 1993.  Chris is originally from Fairview Park, Ohio.  He was the MVP and team captain of Fairview High School swim team his junior and senior year.  He also swam for Lake Shore Swim Club (LSSC) in Rocky River, Ohio for 4 years.

Chris is a 1998 graduate of Wright State University and has a Bachelor's of Education in Physical Education and Health.  He is currently an adapted physical education specialist for the Fairborn City School District.  Chris resides in Fairborn with his girlfriend, Julia, and daughter, Brynn.  Chris' oldest daughter, Mackenzie, is a Freshman at Bowling Green University.  Mallory, Julia's daughter is a Senior at Miami University.  Mackenzie (19) & Brynn (16) both coach for Idle Hour swim team.  Mallory used to coach for Idle Hour and is currently one of the Managers at Idle Hour this Summer.

Chris prides himself on coaching all swimmers the important fundamentals of the sport in which they can build their swimming skills as they get older.  He believes swimming should be "FUN" and provides a stable environment for the young people that he coaches.
